Bias Scarf with Variations

clothesline

This bias scarf and most of the variations are worked as long biased strips which move along the needlebed and are joined to other strips as they are knit. The long edges are finished so they roll nicely and need no further attention. All the variations can be knit on any gauge machine with suitable smooth yarns. They can be knit in one or many colours so they are great for using up leftovers.

The idea for the original bias scarf came from Susan Guagliumi's Hand-Manipulated Stitches video which is sold on Craftsy.com. I highly recommend all of Susan's machine knitting videos.

I had a lot of fun playing with this idea and I hope other knitters enjoy the patterns too. To get the full patterns, click on the PDF Download button below.
