Slip Stitch Spiral Hat

• samples were knit with 44 g of Yeoman Cashmilon
• on my Singer 700 the main tension was 7 but on my Brother 940 it was 8

• finished size: 51cm/20" wide x 20.5cm/8" high; instructions are given to knit longer or wider


• this hat is knit in a long biased rectangle which moves along the needlebed and then has the crown knit in place
• with the slip stitch pattern, the purl side is the right side
• the crown is optional but it looks better than just gathering the top
• the bottom can be turned up in a brim or not as desired
